Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The standout dish here is the fish and chips, which many reviews hail as the best in the area, with a crisp batter and fresh fish that delivers on flavor. The burgers receive enthusiastic nods, especially the steak and chicken varieties. Customers appreciate the generous portion sizes, often equating them with great value for money. The staff's friendly demeanor enhances the dining experience, ensuring that service is both quick and efficient, even during peak times. The tea selection is a highlight, adding a comforting touch to the meal. Lastly, the laid-back atmosphere encourages patrons to linger a bit longer over their meals, making it a great space for conversation.

Most Disliked

One recurring theme among the feedback is the limited options for those with gluten and lactose intolerances, which can exclude a segment of the community hungry for a good meal. While the service is generally prompt, a few customers reported longer wait times during peak hours, especially on Saturdays. The busy atmosphere, while vibrant, can feel a bit cramped during dinner rushes, slightly detracting from the cozy ambiance. Some patrons also wish for more variety in the menu, expressing a desire for seasonal specials or unique offerings that go beyond traditional favorites. These minor critiques don’t overshadow the overall appeal of Waves but are worth noting.

One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. My parents thoroughly enjoyed theirs too. We know our seafood. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was in good time. There was a short wait but the food came out piping hot. It was around 4:30 on a Wednesday so early in the evening.

Waves Randalstown is a fantastic spot! Whether you're sitting in or grabbing a takeaway, their fish & chips are superb, and the steak and chicken burgers are delicious. The only thing lacking is more options for those of us who are gluten and lactose intolerant!

Stopped in, ordered fish and chips. The order was ready very quickly. Very fast and efficient. The fish was crispy and not saturated with grease. Very tasty. The chips were good as well. Worth the visit.
